how does the campaign work?
Gifts from this campaign directly fund educational spaces and educational furnishings through the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation Educational Area Grant program. This program provides grant support for educational furnishings such as bedroom desks and study areas, as well as construction costs for the percentage of wholly educational square-footage in the chapter house. The program allows for naming opportunities in any part of the facility. Click here to read our Gift Acceptance and Recognition Policies.
what is the campaign goal?
Approximately 10 percent of the total square footage of the house is considered educational space. This equals an education-focused investment of close to $220,000 in construction costs within the renovation and expansion, and over $10,000 in educational furnishings.
can i spread out my giving? how long will the campaign last?
Yes! Gifts over $100 may be spread out over a period of up to four years. All gifts and pledges must be complete by December 31, 2022.
can i combine my gift with others for joint naming recognition?
Yes! We encourage members of pledge classes, graduating classes, sister-mother/sister-daughter pairs, big/little pairs, roommates, Executive Council officer teams, advisor groups etc. to join forces to obtain recognition at a certain giving level. Gifts providing named donor recognition must comply with naming standards of or relating to the Fraternity, Chapter, an individual member or a group of members. Up to five individuals may join together for a group-named gift.
what type of recognition is offered to donors?
Every contributor will be recognized in the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation's Annual Honor Roll of Donors. Gifts of $500 and more will be honored in a gift display in the house. Gifts with naming opportunities will be recognized with wall plaques either in the named space or the entrance to the named space. Plaques and donor displays will be updated quarterly beginning fall 2019 when the house re-opens.
is the house association involved in this campaign?
Beta Beta's House Association dissolved when the membership voted to join the Alpha Gamma Delta Fraternity Housing Corporation (FHC) in the fall of 2015. Since that time, the FHC, created by Alpha Gamma Delta, for Alpha Gamma Deltas, has managed the renovation and expansion of the chapter house. Beta Beta is part of a larger movement within the Fraternity/Sorority industry towards national facility management. In addition to Beta Beta, the FHC now works with 100 other Alpha Gamma Delta chapters.
